Sphinx Equinox cuenta la historia del nacimiento y fin de la civilización. Si la primer gran civilzacion fueron los sumerios, entonces la ultima gran civilizacion será una sociedad similar a los sumerios, o sea su representacion actual. A lo largo de la canción se aclama que se levanten y reclamen lo que es suyo, para así concluir el ciclo.

El recitado por su parte cuenta la evolucion de la humanidad en cuanto a sus creencias. Creer en las estrellas, despues en reyes, despues en la ciencia, hasta el dia de hoy donde lo unico en lo que cree la humanidad es en su propio egoismo.

Finalmente, el nombre de la canción tiene su origen en la esfinge sumeria, llamada lamassu, y en el equinoccio que representa el momento en el cual el sol se encuentra en su punto mas alto. De esta manera, planteamos la analogia con el momento en el que los sumerios vuelven a lo más alto, y por tanto se culmina el ciclo.
